Instructor Training
We support sailors aged 16 and over in working towards the RYA Dinghy Instructor (DI) qualification. We regularly organise seamanship skills courses, to gain the skills required to take the RYA Pre-Entry Assessment. You will also need to complete a RYA approved one day first aid course and RYA Powerboat Level 2 course before you can do the RYA Dinghy Instructor course
WYSA will contribute to the cost of the course in return for volunteer help with WYSA sessions for one season following DI validation, although from experience, many of our volunteers choose to help for considerably longer than a season
